What to Give Up for Lent - Today is Ash Wednesday!
Determining what to give up each year becomes a greater peril. I should not have this much of a hard time to figure out what to get rid of for a month. One time I thought it would be a good idea to give up all foods white... that was bad! Healthy but lord it was difficult! Here are 15 ideas to get you going with some ideas of your own to decide what you are giving up:
- Negativity. Toss it aside with your sarcasm!
- Fizzy Drinks - Let the bubble go.
- All things fried. Let. Go. Of. The. Chicken. Leg.
- Sweets - You know you should (Dark Chocolate is not really sweet though so thats ok!)
- Stepping on the scale to check how many fractions of a pound you lost that morning.
- Instagraming your lunch - It doesnt look as appetizing on my phone.
- Facebook Stalking - Yes they are going out that that one person who you hate but havent talked to in forever.
- Smoking, It kills anyways!
- Cursing. Flush that potty mouth for the month
- Hitting the snooze button. force yourself to get up and move!
- Money - Dont give it up per say but give some of it away: to Charity!
- Forks and Spoons! Have fun and only eat with your hands or even chopsticks!
- Frowning - See the silver lining and smile more instead
- Your time. Give up a few hours of your week to volunteer for a charity
- Microwave Meals - stop the "Death Rays" and cook everything on the stove instead. Much Healthier!
