Dont miss out on amazing adventures, cheap excursions, or fabulous local eateries on your next vacation! It can get confusing with a three ring binder full of printouts, you may miss the local treasures and reviews from other travelers in your same boat. You have a huge tool at your disposal without even knowing it!

Have you ever heard of an amazing website called Pinterest? The easiest explanation is that Pinterest is like a giant warehouse with cork boards all over the walls. In the middle of the room is a pile of pictures, some have recipes on the back, some instructions on how to make that cool craft, and everything in between. You can organize the images however you like, on any board, in any combination. The cool part about Pinterest is instead of a warehouse, its a easy website, and the back of the photos are links to the sites where the images are found. This means that as long as the website you like or need has a photo you can save it to your board to get back to later.

Now how will this help you on your travels?

Pinterest has a huge source of travel information from fellow travelers, and if you cant find it on pinterest, a TripAdvisor or google search can be easily pinned to any of your boards using the Pin It button you can install easily into your bookmark bar.

First create a new set of boards to help organize your trip, the more boards, the easier to organize:

-Trip Checklists

-Where to stay

-City(s) of interest - place boards

-Free things to do in _____

-Travel Journal & Photo Tips

-Places to Eat in ______

-Gifts I MUST get

-Photo Ideas/Opportunites

Make as many or as little as you want, just keep in mind the more boards the more organized, but the harder to see the gran picture. See what works for you and have fun!

The coolest part is Pinterest now has Place Boards!

(yep, there is a place board for anything!)

Simply said, Place Pins let you to map out the locations of all the photos you share on your boards making planning 10X easier!

It’s a visual guide to finding places to go and things to see.

I see this as a great tool for sharing your trip afterwards, by highlighting points of discovery such as places you eat, where you stayed, things you saw, which your friends and followers can then benefit from.
